To choose MySQL4 or MySQL5

    How MySql version affect wordpress installation. I have all my sites installed at server with php5/mysql5, and now I’m thinking of moving to Mediatemple’s greed server and their servers running MySql4. Will this change in anyway affect my wp websites?

  • There’s really no difference in WordPress operation using either MySQL4 and MySQL5. You will want to probably use MySQL 4 compatibilty when ‘exporting’ that MySQL5 database via phpMyAdmin.
