An administrator-level user created a Page in Japanese, and used the Bogo plugin from the editor page to create English and Chinese Pages. However, when a user with only Contributor permission tried to rewrite the Page, they were unable to edit it from the Pages list (although the originally created Japanese Page is still editable).

After confirming the permissions one by one using User Role Editor, it was found that changes cannot be made without the manage_options permission. However, we do not want to grant manage_options permission to this user.

If there is any idea to solve this, please let us know. It is possible that there is an incorrect setting.

    Version information:
    WordPress: 6.2
    Bogo: 3.6.1
    User Role Editor: 4.63.3

The edit_pages and edit_others_pages capabilities are only permitted for Editor and higher roles. See Roles and Capabilities for details.

    Thank you.

I tried to change the user’s permission to “Editor”, but they could not edit the English and Chinese Pages (although they could edit the Japanese Page). Additionally, I granted all permissions except manage_options using User Role Editor, but the situation did not improve.

Is there anywhere else I should check?

Make sure the user is allowed to access English and Chinese locales. As an Administrator, go to Users > All Users to edit the user. There should be the Locale option added above the Name section.
