    good evening,
I had a problem with postie: he created 12000 tmptitle articles by loading one or more images for each single article. The articles in question do not come, at least apparently, from emails sent by us to the linked account of postie. I tried to delete images and articles from the wordpress admin but suddenly the db has increased its size by 2.5 times stopping in “read only”.

I disabled postie (which I have been using for 10 years now) and now it no longer seems to create tmptitle … only that if I delete the pages, the db increases again and again.

How can I solve the problem? How can I clean the db from the over 200mb added by this malfunction?

    Thank you

You’ll need to view the list of post in the trash and click the empty trash button to actually delete the posts.

You’ll likely need to talk to your hosting company about decreasing the db size.

As to why it happened it is hard to say. There have been reports of email servers marking all emails ever received as unread, which would cause Postie to try and process them again.
