    Got error message with Firefox

    “Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to jeffreybenice.com. A required TLS feature is missing.

    Error code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_REQUIRED_TLS_FEATURE_MISSING”
    https://really-simple-ssl.com/mozilla_pkix_error_required_tls_feature_missing/

As I researched, It happens when OCSP stapling is required, but not available. So I contacted with hosting provider and they tried enable OCSP stapling which will fix the issue as instruction but it is not working, still site is down with Firefox, MOZILLA.

purchased Really Simple SSL Pro version and Disable OCSP Stapling

Still not working .. need to fix asap

    Hi @jayjelee,

This is related to OCSP Stapling. Your SSL certificate likely has the “must staple” TLS extension enabled (you can disable the “OCSP Stapling” slider when generating an SSL certificate in Really Simple SSL, to generate a certificate without this).

And this requires OCSP stapling to be available on your webserver, which doesn’t appear to be the case on your server. Therefore Firefox (and other browsers) will reject the connection, as your certificate requires OCSP Stapling, but the webserver does not staple an OCSP response.

    Therefore you can either:

    – Enable OCSP stapling on your webserver (you would have to contact your Hosting Provider for assistance with that)

    – Generate a new SSL certificate without the “must staple” extension enabled (disable the “OCSP Stapling” slider when generating an SSL certificate in Really Simple SSL and install the new certificate on your webserver)

Hope it helps! Kind regards, Jarno
