    Hello,
I sent two messages about this problem several weeks ago, but I haven’t received a response: the titles to the images are showing and it’s not possible to remove them (titles).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @james377,

We’re sorry for the late reply, we did not get your email.
Can you please go to your gallery > edit it > Captions > and turn on ‘Hide title’ > the hit save ?
This should remove the title from that gallery.

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

Got it! Thanks. It looks good.
Another question: Did you guys disable the ability to use of other watermark plugins? I tried two (they’re actually listed on the Modula website, the link is below), but neither of them worked. They were “Image Watermark” and “Easy Watermark.”

    Thanks,

Also, please look at the social icons on this page. They’re the color #333333, but as you see on the image to the settings of the gallery (of the top three images), the color is set to white.

Image of the settings to the gallery: Click here

    Thanks,
    JL
Update: I’m finding this problem on multiple galleries.

    Hello @james377,

Regarding your first question, no, we did not do anything related to that.
We also did not test the plugin with watermark plugins and I am not sure if it worked before. That blog post is to list the best watermark plugin for users to check out and have options, not specific ones that work with Modula. Hope this makes sense!

The color of the social icons seems to be overrode by the theme’s styling.
To solve that please add this code:

    .modula .modula-item .jtg-social a > * {
    	color: white;
    }

    All the best,
    Mihaela

Okay, I’ll check what you sent (CSS), thanks. Quick question: am I correct? The watermark feature for Modula is $89.00?

    Thanks,
    JL

That is correct. The watermark extension is available with the Business and Agency plans.

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

Just like I suspected. When you “Hide title,” it hides ALL of the titles – both of what the title is to the image by default when you uploaded it and the title you had given the image in the Modula plugin. Please see image I put a link to below.
When I clicked “Hide title,” it hid ALL the titles, so I had to turn it back off. In doing so, both titles came back on the image(s).
Note: when editing the image in Media Library, you cannot erase the title WordPress gave it when you uploaded it (“default”).

    Hello @james377,

I am not sure I understand, what do you mean both titles? It should be only one. If you edit an image in your gallery and and a title here: https://gyazo.com/d597fc6ab3c432b7026a7b647d261151
    It will display that one.
If you remove it then it will display the one you see when you edit the image in Media library.

I went to your page but I cannot see the duplicate titles. Does this still happens?

    Thank you so much,
    Mihaela

    Hello,
Here’s what I’m running into, but first, this IS when the cache is being cleared on web page and devices:
Hide title is turned on. Results: desktop computer, no titles are shown, not even the titles to the images in Media Library. iPhone 8: Media Library title is showing only. Which means, it’s working here.

    Desktop image click here.
    Phone image click here.

    Hi @james377,

Thanks for the screenshots – they helped.
The title is hidden, but the name you see on mobile is actually the caption of that image.
You can turn that off as well if you want to.
    Hope this makes sense.

Default title: the title WordPress gave the image when it was uploaded to the website.

So, caption is the default title?

    Conclusion:
Hide Title ONLY hides the title the image was given in Modula, and Hide Caption hides the default title.

Modula calls the default title “Caption.”

If Hide Caption is not selected and nothing is in the captions to the images in Modula, the default title will show.

Is that about the size of it?
    Thanks,
    JL

    Hi JL,

The caption and title of an image are 2 different things.
From what I could tell inspecting those images you have added the same name as both the title and caption.
You should be able to see this when you edit one of those images in your dashboard > Media Library.
Or if you edit an image in your gallery.
If you choose to hide the title it will hide only the title and if you choose to hide the caption it will hide only the caption.
Otherwise both will be displayed, like in your first screenshot here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NGnv5iZ-zP9eFR8-HmrErLPBdY1s6vY7/view

If Hide Caption is not selected and nothing is in the captions to the images in Modula, and there is no caption in Media Library for that image then nothing will display.

If this is too confusing, please let me know.

    Warmly,
    Mihaela
