    Hi Bill

I have used the title toggle plugin for a year, love it.

I just ran the update of the plugin – I am up to 1.6.1

Genesis 2.1.2, News Pro theme, WP 3.92

I have almost all pages set to have the title hidden.

However, when I now go to edit a page where the title is hidden, the title toggle box always appears as “checked” on the WP edt screen – requiring me to uncheck the box every time I save the changes.

It’s still working, but as you can imagine it’s a little cumbersome, especially if I forget to uncheck the box…and heck, I just like things to work right! ??

Have you or any other users experienced this?

I did also do a plugin update for a few others and admittedly have not trouble shooted this extensively by turing all plugins off and back on one by one.

I was wondering if there was a tweak coming up in the future that might address this, and make sure that it populates the edit screen checkbox properly.

    Thank you

    Adam

    Bill,

Bizarrely this is actually NOT happening on all pages, just on some.

I have many pages set to the “default template” – and some of them, when I edit, load the box as checked each time, others do not.

It it a setting on my end?

    Bill,

Message 3. Yes, some pages – but not all, I “uncheck” the box, and as it saves changes and re-serves up the edit screen, voila! The box is again checked.

    Thanks, looking forward to resolving…

In Genesis > Theme Settings, do you have the title set to hidden by default or displayed by default?

    Bill,

In Genesis > Theme Settings the following box for “Title Toggle” is checked – it says “By Default remove titles in teh Page Post Type.”

As I said, on some pages it is behaving differently than others.

    Thanks

FYI – I am in the STAGING area now on my host, WPengine.

I turned off all plugins except “title toggle” an the problem is persisting.

I load a page in the editor, by default this box is CHECKED: “By default, this post type is set to remove titles. This checkbox lets you show this specific page’s title.”

    I un-check it, and save.

When the edit screen re-appears, the box is again checked.

    Hoep we figure it out!

This should be fixed in 1.6.2. Can you try the newest version and confirm?

    Thanks

Bill it appears that this update fixed the problem.

Thanks for your dedication to keeping your plugins up to date!

    A++++
