    Hello @rhunter8355,

Thanks for reaching out regarding your title tags and sharing the screencast; it makes the issue clearer.

I checked the page source and the title is the same as you have entered in the Yoast SEO plugin <title>Calgary Real Estate Newsletters for Calgary Real Estate Agents</title>. This means the plugin is working as expected.

However, it seems that Google is pulling the H2 tag as the title tag. I will recommend allowing Google to re-crawl and re-index the page. Use Inspect any URL?in the Google Search Console and wait a few days to see if there is any difference.

Do let us know how it goes

Thanks for getting back to me Maybellyne. I followed your advice and resubmitted the URL on July 4th but I noticed in the Google Search Console that it says it was crawled the day before on July 3rd but it’s still picking up the wrong detail for the title and description. Here’s a video to better show what I mean – https://somup.com/c3i1Fzu1MC

    Thanks for the feedback.

I suspect this is intentional. Google seems to be rejecting your title on purpose. You may refer to our help article to learn more on different reasons why this can happen – https://yoast.com/help/my-seo-title-isnt-displayed-as-i-have-entered-it/

Okay, thanks for that article. Do you think then it’s because I mentioned “Calgary real estate” twice in the title? Was that perhaps too aggressive?

@rhunter8355 Whereas Google typically uses the <title> that you have set in the plugin, Google will sometimes modify or ignore this when it sees fit, but it’s not always easy to say for certain what element of your title it felt it could create a better version for. Sometimes this will also vary depending on the nature of the user’s query as well.

If Google is ignoring the title you have created for a page and creating it’s own description based off the page’s content, we would recommend creating a new one that better reflects the page’s content.

We have additional information on this here: My SEO title isn’t showing as I have entered it.
