Title of Blog showing up twice in Google Listing

  • My google listings are showing the title of my blogs where it is supposed to be, but also showing the title as my first sentence in the blog posts. This is happening in both the blog search and web search listings. Any thoughts on that?

  • The text snippets shown in Google are search query-dependent, so if you search for your blog title, any on-page occurrence of it (such as in an h1 tag) is likely to show up in the snippet text. I would recommend a meta description or SEO plugin. Google likes meta descriptions and will show them if they match the search query and page content.
