Title not showing when hover, even though the Title shows in page source. Why?

    In media library I have set Alt text and Title to all images.
    The “title=” appears when viewing the page source.

    The problem is that when I hover an image no box with the Title appears. It’s the same with all images on my site.

    Any idéa what’s causing the problem?

    It seems like some themes have setting for Link Appearance where is possible to enable/disable hovering. Does Storefront have this option.

    I must say that I’m a bit disappointed. My experience is that this plugin has good support. However, now it seems there are no plugin staff to give support.

    Hopefully the admin of the forum won’t delete the post. @senff asked for additional information. How can I give it if admin deletes the post?

    Can you give a specific example of an image that has the “title=” attribute when you view the source code?

    Example from productpage:
    ” alt=”H?ngmatta Bahia ligger diagonalt i h?ngmattan” title=”H?ngmatta Bahia diagonalt”

    I’ve set alt text and title to all images in the media library. However, all images doesn’t have the title in the source code. I think I just understood that the title field in media library is just to handle files in admin and not used to set the title attribute used inside an image. IMO that’s very weird and confusing.

    Maybe I’ll need a plugin to be able to show the image title when hovering an image. Unfortunately all the title plugins have awful reviews and none seems reliable.

    By default, Storefront does not add the ‘title’ tag to images, except on the product details page. However, it will then not be shown on hover since that will show the zoomed image instead.

    If you need to show the titles on images everywhere in your site, you’ll either need to use custom code in your theme, or use a plugin.

    OK, so Storefront only adds title tags to images on product pages, but the title won’t show as it will show the zoomed image instead.

    What’s the reason Storefront adds titles to images on product pages if it isn’t used?
