• Hello,

after updating to version 4.1 of Yoast Free whatever title length i use for my posts shows up always as “green” even if the header and title of the post is 500 chars long.

Do you have any idea why this is happening?

    It’s really awful
    Thanks
    Paolo

Sometimes strange behavior may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. The fastest way to rule out conflicts is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Sixteen. If this resolves the issue, you have a conflict and should activate one plugin at a time until you locate the conflict. Finally, after all plugins are active, switch to your theme. This will narrow down the conflict to a specific plugin or theme.

If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a small guide that will walk you through the steps. You can find it here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts

HI, I’m sorry but i have been using Yoast Seo with current plugins for one year now and i never modified or changed plugins recently.

Everything was working fine with all my curent plugins before updating to 4.1, so any other idea?

    Thanks
    Paolo

You upgraded to 4.1 which included a variety of code changes in our plugin. It’s possible that something in our new version isn’t compatible with something in your setup.

The progress bar works in the handful of live and test environments I run so I would suspect a conflict occurs in your specific setup. Once we know what is conflicting with our new code, we can take a deeper look at why it’s happening.
