Title is not showing

  • For some reason the post title isn’t showing. It’s not even outputting to the code.

    I get the image and the read more button/link. If I have an excerpt, it shows that. But no title.

    Just to confirm, is “Include title” checked in the “Content” section of your list settings?

    Yes, that’s correct. I have include title checked, h2 element, “continue reading” as the text.

    Right now, the text that’s showing is the excerpt along with the “continue reading” button.

    That’s super strange. The HTML for the title isn’t even displaying.

    Can you try disabling your other plugins to rule out a plugin conflict?

    Sure, I’ll setup a development site and do it there… so it doesn’t affect the live site.

    So that resolved it. I’m using a plugin on that site called “Divi Layout Injector”. There’s an option in the settings for it called…
    “Hide default header entirely? If you want to remove the header entirely in favour of one powered by injector then check this box.”

    That was checked. After unchecking it, the title is now showing up.

    I need to investigate why it was causing the issue, but it’s working.

    No problem!

    I assume the plugin is disabling any the_title() (WordPress function) instances.
