Hi. I have configured in the SEO settings for Title not to show in Google Search. But it shows up anyway. Also saw this happen with Yoast before I switched to TSF. Do I have to tick every individual post to disable post title or is it google just ignoring this function completely?

    Hello!

Yes, Google is ignoring this completely. They want you to brand your titles, and if you don’t, they may do it for you.

It makes for deceitful search-engine user-experience because users can’t ask: “do we know and trust this brand?” It is why we’re going to start warning you when the title is not branded in the next update, as shown in the image below.

The blog name-removal option is there only for when you want to rearrange your title parts, or when the brand name is already part of your title. For example:

    1. First, repeated: “How to configure The SEO Framework – The SEO Framework”
    2. Workaround, only partially conveys the story: “How to configure our plugin – The SEO Framework”
    3. With additions disabled, now it’s good: “How to configure The SEO Framework”

I hope this explains the situation well ?? Cheers!

Aha. This makes sense. I saw they sometimes truncate titles just to show the brand name.
