Hi, just when you think you’re nearly finished (been at this ALL week)….
Just checked how my theme looks on the phone and the header image looks fine, but there is no information, i.e. Title, tag line or icon. Which are visible via the laptop.

I really like this theme and really don’t want to have to change it ??

Does anyone know what the problem might be please? And how I can fix it please?

This is how it looks viewed through the phone

  • Your image is totally different than what I see on the site I have running Arcade Basic. It makes me think you may have some CSS or javascript that isn’t working in your phone test. It would be easier to help if you post a link to your actual site.

Take a look at the settings you have in Appearance -> Customize -> Site Title and Tagline for Arc Radius, Arc Radius(Inner Pages), and Fittext. Also check the size of the header image you’re using (1800 x 1200 is recommended). I’ve solved some problems with the title and tagline by using zero for the arc settings and checking Fittext.

Hi Linux4me2, Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it and I’ll take I’ll take a look into that ??

    my website is:

I took a look at your site, and it does look like you need to set both arc settings to zero and check the Fittext box. That may fix it.

Ack`’ I thought it worked … I selected fittest box and re-sized the image and from what I can see it looks like it works, but my daughter looks on her phone (I don’t have an iphone thingy-m-doo) and the title & icon still isn’t showing…

If I put both to Zero then I lose the arc…?

I’m wondering if I’ve an issue with my theme, I’ve a few glitches going on it seams.

Thank you again for your help, I really appreciate it ??

Yes, if you put zero for the arc settings you lose the arc, but it appears that is necessary to get longer site names/titles to work on mobile platforms.

Its not just the title though, nothing is showing at all on my daughters phone? Just the image is visible, there is no icon or tag line either.

It is supposed to be there, look

    https://wptavern.com/arcade-basic-a-beautiful-free-wordpress-theme-based-on-bootstrap

Your site is working fine now when I use the responsive design view in Firefox to take it down to 320 px wide.

I don’t know what the issue is on your daughter’s iPhone. I don’t have an iPhone, either. What I would do is have her take a look at the demo site for Arcade Basic on her phone. If it messes up too, you know it’s a theme issue. If it doesn’t, you have narrowed it down to something specific to your site and can proceed from there.

That sound like a good idea, I’ll try that. Thats how I’ve been testing it out too, narrowing my window and all looks fine to me too. Could do with some people with iphones to give me feedback. Any takers here?

Resolved, the reason my daughter couldn’t get the Title and tagline to show was because she hadn’t selected that option on her phone… duh…

selecting fittext and adjusting the arc worked. I set my Arc to 500 and inner 600

I’m glad you got it figured out.
