    Hi there

I have set my title to:
Pool Safety Inspections: Brisbane to Sunshine Coast from $99
    webpage to :
    https://www.dragonflypoolsafety.com.au
    and the meta description to:
Pool Safety Inspections from Brisbane, Moreton Bay and all areas to the Sunshine Coast. Full detailed reports/compliance certificates issued within two days

however when doing a google search the following appears:

    Dragonfly Pool Safety Inspections: Home
    dragonflypoolsafety.com.au/
We are licensed by the Queensland Government to carry out Pool Safety Inspections and issue a Pool Safety Certificate for compliant pools or a Non Conformity

Have I done something not correctly? If so can you please advise

    thanks in advance NEV

  • Hi, I have the same problem, but only with the meta descriptions. For every page Google doesn’t show the meta description I’ve filled in at Yoast. It contains the right keywords and de description gives a good summary of the information on the pages. It looks like Yoast doesn’t work here. But I’ll checked the pagesource and I see the right description. We also let Google crawl our whole site again, but that didn’t work.

We understand that Google is not showing the meta description you have set for your page, however, as this article explains, sometimes Google will create its own meta description tag for a search result.

You can also read in this article straight from Google that “Google will sometimes use the meta description of a page in search results snippets, if we think it gives users a more accurate description than would be possible purely from the on-page content.” So they may use the meta description tag in search results if they feel that it’s a better description than they can get from the page content.

Thanks for your feedback, but sometimes Google will do this. For my website, every (1000+) page I’ve checked gives another metadescription in Google.

We’ve changed the site structure in june and made a lot of 301 redirects, may that effect the results? Google shows already the new urls and titles.

    Please advice, thanks in advance.
