I have created about 70 tooltipy dictionary entries and then created a page to test a few of them but I do not see any tips at all. I have examined all the page settings and all the tooltipy options and I don’t see any reason why nothing would be displayed as a tip.
    My words are:
2FA, PoS, Proof of Stake, and bitcoin.
    My dictionary is here: https://www.cryptocurrencycomplete.com/learn/glossary/
My theme and all plugins are up to date.
    What could I be missing?
    Thank you

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

P.S. When I edit my my test page, I double checked the tooltipy sidebar in wordpress and it shows that tooltipy does acknowledge that these words are dictionary entries, and none of them are excluded. I just added that screen shot to my test page so that you can see it.

    Hi @axwellion,

Ok I see, you may be excluding a CSS class or something
and I can see lot’s of JS errors from the console so it should be something related to your theme or any conflict with other plugin
I suggest to activate a basic theme just to test ( Twenty-twenty for example )
If nothing changes you can reach me with my E-mail to end me admin credentials so I can test myself

    Thanks

Hi Jamel. Ok, I will try that and let you know if I have any more clues.
    Thanks

P.S. Does it matter what PHP version I am using?

Yes, it does seem theme related. I switched to WP TwentyOne and now I can see the tips. I also tried my original theme and that works too. It is only my child theme that seems to break it.

Also, Two tips are missing but that must be some other issue. It is a tip I created with two synonyms, but neither is displayed. I will investigate that late.

You mention an excluded CSS class. Is there a particular CSS class that I should be looking for?
    Thank you

    Great,

You mention an excluded CSS class. Is there a particular CSS class that I should be looking for?

No since it’s working on the other theme the CSS class issue should be fine because it’s related to the plugin options ??

Thanks. I am still investigating. If I ever figure out the exact cause, I will let you know.

I am getting closer to finding the problem. It seems to be related to some PHP code a previous developer wrote for me to minifiy code. I am not sure why he did that since the theme has a built-in way to do so – plus I had a cache plugin that could have done that job. Maybe he thought his code was better/faster.

Anyway, when I get rid of that code, tooltipy works as expected. I am not going to try to understand why his code broke tooltipy since I don’t think I need his code anyway.

    Thanks for your help.

Ever since I removed the code previously mentioned, the problem went away. I don’t understand why it caused this problem with the tooltips, but apparently, it did. Sorry for flagging this as an issue.
