• Hi all. When trying to post a new entry using IE 7.0.5, one of our users cannot get the cursor active in the post entry box. This problem corrects itself if we turn off the rich text editor on the profile page.

IE throws a Javascript error, as follows:
    Line: 125
    Char: 22
Error: ‘this, contentWindow.document’ is null or not an object
    Code: 0
    URL: “URL-of-the-blog/wp-admin/post-new.php

We have experienced this problem before on different versions of WordPress. And it’s been brought up before on this board. But I’ve yet to find a satisfactory solution. Any ideas, or should I file a bug?

  • This fix worked for me too.

It appeared that suddenly I could not post. Now I remember I had gone into my profile and typed in my website url and saved it, but I didn’t connect this with my problem.

By going into my profile and unticking the visual box this fixed the problem.

    Thank you
