TinyMCE in 2.1

  • I am having problems with the TinyMCE editor since upgrading to 2.1. The HTML (code) editor isn’t as good. It strips the paragraph tags off to give some kind of weird hybrid between the code editor and the visual editor. I am doing some fairly complicated outlining in some posts, and I need the power of being able to edit the HTML. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, is there a fix?

    Aha! I found it! Because Firefox is my main browser, TinyMCE was messing up due to document.write. I hacked the tiny_mce_config.php file and set the TinyMCE strict_loading_mode option to TRUE. This resolved my issue!

    WP devs, could this option be turned on in all future releases of WP? Thanks for all the work you do!

    I don’t know where is TinyMCE strict_loading_mode
