TinyMCE blank for Editors but not Admins on one page
-
I administrate a dozen or so WordPress sites and recently a number of users have been reporting that content on WordPress pages will occasionally become uneditable for them. Switching their role to Administrator “fixes” the problem, but is obviously an unacceptable workaround. Here’s what I’ve done to try and resolve this:
- Replaced wp-admin and wp-includes directories
- Disabled all plugins and switched to default theme
- Removed all user preferences for Editor user accounts
- Copied content to a new page. This worked temporarily and then the problem came back again.
- Cleared all cookies and browser cache
- Changed user role to Administrator and Author and back to Editor again
I have found nothing which fixes this problem and keeps it from coming back again. I’ve reviewed the database tables for the content in question and found no indication of anything out of the ordinary. Has anyone run into this?
Thank you!
