I hope this is the correct forum for this question –

I have looked in all of my WP files relating to tnymceAdvanced for the color of the background in its editing window – blue. I used a color sampler to obtain the RGB # value, then did a search (albeit visual) for that value in those files I thought pertained to tnymce – all to no avail.

Can somebody point me in the right direction? I would like to change that color to white or light gray for better contrast to the text.

  • I too.. would like to change my background editor color… Mine shows up as black… before I added all the tiny_mce plugins it was “white”… I would like to change it back or least know where to find it so I can change it to whatever and whenever…

I like you looked all over… can not find it.

Under manage > tinymce advanced, if you can select “reset some of the CSS styles” it will turn the background of the text area white – at least it did for me. I too had a dark background and it was very hard to see the text.

You’re quite welcome. My background used to be a dark blue-grey and I couldn’t even see the text until I discovered that little trick.
