  • Some more info would really help ??

    Updated from which version? Tried deleting the tinymce-advanced folder and re-uploading it? Any js errors?

    I’m using 2.6.2 as well and am getting the following error:

    Warning: include_once(WP_PLUGIN_DIR/tinymce-advanced/tadv_admin.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/apache/domains/www.fctoompea.ee/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/tinymce-advanced/tinymce-advanced.php on line 214

    Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘WP_PLUGIN_DIR/tinymce-advanced/tadv_admin.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/share/pear’) in /www/apache/domains/www.fctoompea.ee/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/tinymce-advanced/tinymce-advanced.php on line 214

    I’m not getting any errors, i upgrated from the latest version of WP and TinyMCE Advanced it’s not showing when writing a new post, i deactivated and then deleted from my plugin folder, and then i uploaded again and activated and still it’s not working. D:

    No problems with 2.6.2 here (but I didn’t upgrade, started from scratch), so it must be something with the upgrade process. Sorry, no help, but it does narrow down the options.

    Not working for me either and it is on a fresh install of 2.6.2.

    Plugin activates fine and I can manage the options however it doesn’t replace the old TinyMCE textbox.

    Not working here either, on a new install of 2.6.2 -what a shame… WP isn’t the same without it.

    someone please update this plugin!

    Not working here either. Here are my details:
    Fresh install of 2.6.2. I have the following plugins installed:

    Activated:
    IWG Hide Dashboard 1.0.3
    pageMash 1.1.5
    Role Manager 2.2.3
    TinyMCE Advanced 3.1

    Recently installed:
    WP Sentry 0.5.1
    WP User Manager 0.4

    Inactive:
    Akismet 2.1.9

    In deactivated everything but TinyMCE Advanced and it still didn’t work.

    I have just installed the code from stratch today and am getting the same error. I am running on WordPress 2.5.1, and I downloaded the plugin today and activated it. When I click on the “Manage” button in wordpress and select the “TinyMCE Advanced” tab, I get the following message:

    Warning: tadv_page(WP_PLUGIN_DIR/tinymce-advanced/tadv_admin.php) [function.tadv-page]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/luise.awardspace.com/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/tinymce-advanced/tinymce-advanced.php on line 214

    Warning: tadv_page() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘WP_PLUGIN_DIR/tinymce-advanced/tadv_admin.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php4/share/pear’) in /home/www/luise.awardspace.com/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/tinymce-advanced/tinymce-advanced.php on line 214

    I checked the directory structure and all of the files do appear to be present, so I am not sure what the issue is. Maybe a recent change to the files broke some code somewhere, which is why some people aren’t seeing this message because they have an older version?

    @kivgaen for WordPress 2.5.1 you need version 3.0.1 that can be downloaded here:

    Not working here either, on a new install of 2.6.2 -what a shame… My site really needs this. Arghhhhhh.

    I was using 3.1 on WP2.6.3 & it was working great. I had written a list of guidance notes for a client who is using it as a basic CMS for half a dozen pages, with TinyMCE Advanced being central to thise instructions. I had used TinyMCE Advanced, as it had worked excellently to overcome all the major shortcomings of the standard visual editor.

    When I came to put the site live, I moved WordPress to the root directory of the site. There appeared to be no problems, until the client mentioned that when trying to insert a media link in the visual editor that it would not appear at the cursor position, but instead at the beginning of the page(?!). It was when I was investigating this that I noticed that TinyMCE Advanced is no longer appearing when you come to manage the pages.

    It is completely set up as an activated plugin. I can make any changes I want in the settings, such as extra toolbar options. I get no error messages. It is just that it does not appear for use!

    Any ideas, as I look pretty foolish to the client right now!
