TinyForge Theme Description Box Fix

I am using the TinyForge theme for my self-hosted WP blog. Not sure if that matters.
My issue is on my webpage (www.patrickgunville.com) I have it to show a number of characters before cutting off the text. Except the post just ends abruptly, and it looks very incomplete.
I would prefer if I could alter it so each post on my frontpage ends in a ‘…’ automatically, of preferably a ‘(…)’.
That would fix all my problems. Thanks for your help!
