I have an issue with the new update to the plugin that I cannot display the time in the specific timezone, it only shows in local time zone.
For example, I set the event to be at 20 March 7:00pm – 8:30pm New York time.

Note the timezone of the website is also set to New York.

However, whenever I view the event, with the timezone on or off, it always shows in local time. As I am currently in South Africa, it either shows March 21, 2023 @ 1:00am – 2:30am OR March 21, 2021 @ 1:00am – 2:30am EDT

If i have it set NOT to show the timezone, then I would expect it to show in my local time zone as it does in the first case, however, if I set it to SHOW the timezone I expect it to be displayed as March 21, 2021 @ 7:00pm – 8:30pm EDT. Note that what it is currently showing is COMPLETELY wrong March 21, 2021 @ 1:00am – 2:30am EDT.

I have clicked the button to update the timezone settings but there is nothing else I can do to change these options. Please advise.

    Hi @byronkeet

    Thanks for reaching out.

Could you navigate to Events → Settings → Display, and from Time zone mode option, please select Use site-wide time zone everywhere, and check if that makes a difference?

If that doesn’t help, could you provide the version of the following? This will help me understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Theme
