Hi – I couldn’t find the answer in the forums, sorry if I’ve missed it.

The dashboard starts a new day at 8pm EST on my site as if its using the UTC timezone.

I’ve tried changing the settings on WP general
settings but it hasn’t made a difference. Even tried resetting the cache but no luck.

My server time is correct too in case that may effect it.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

  • @esmi thank you, like me, you are thinking like a developer.

@702shooter as you can see the bug was discovered and confirmed recently, two months ago all was assumed as being a miss configuration on user’s side (and believe me this happens on over 90% of cases), as long I and other developers were unable to replicate it. I just want to mention that these plugins are developed and supported on my free time and are provided for free, before telling you that I will not respond anymore on this subject, because I rather write a new piece of code than being caught in an endless dispute.

By the way, I know for sure that “code is poetry” and I don’t really know what car spare parts are …

The endless dispute is being caused by the fact that you think it’s OK to mark something as fixed even though you have no way of fixing it yourself. There is no need to dispute anything here. I know plenty of developers and not one of them would mark anything as resolved unless it was….well…RESOLVED.

Is this issue resolved? Clearly it is not as the problem continues to exist. If you’re not able to resolve it because the fault lies within the GAPI then that’s understandable and you should leave the issue open. If/when Google fixes the issue then you could post the resolution thereby making it resolved and tagging it appropriately.

Nowhere did I imply that you should FIX something that isn’t your fault or under your control. However, improperly marking threads as resolved is completely on you.

    Have a nice day.

Odd that you believe the issue to be caused by a GAPI bug. I’ve just installed a competing GA Dashboard plugin and it’s displaying the correct date info.

Yours is prettier though. Too bad it’s not accurate. ??

@shoestringwebs any changes in API/plugin behavior after re-saving the timezone?

Thanks for asking. GA Dashboard reset to 09.10.13 at UTC 0:00:00 (8 pm ET).

@shoestringwebs the timezone, as the bug is reported should be UTC-7, yours is UTC, can you tell me if you use an Google Adwords account linked to your Google Analytics account on which you have this issue?

This bug was fixed on GAPI v3, let me know if the stats are properly displayed now, details here: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/config/mgmt/v3/changelog
