Times out going to admin login

  • I have a new installation of WordPress 4.4.2 on a new server running CentOS Linux 7.0. I can’t reach the admin login from an exterior source due to it timing out. It runs just fine if you’re on the server. Is it a WP problem or a Linux problem? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

  • Enable Debugging and see if you run into any errors. If there are no errors in /wp-content/debug.log then rename the /plugins/ folder to ensure that all plugins get disabled as that could be a problem.

    I could very well be a corrupted install of WordPress, maybe reinstall?
