• I am importing events from eventbrite. When I look at all my events it show that the event times are in UTC. However when I click on an individual event, it shows the event time at the correct time for my location. When I view the event on the front end, the event is in UTC time. Anyone know what is going on?

  • Hi @jhegman,

I’m not sure how this issue was created but it should not display a different timezone between the calendar and event pages. I suggest that you navigate to Events > Settings > be sure you have the correct timezone set under Viewing Events tab > Timezone. Then Save Settings to see if it corrects the issue.

@sunny454 I checked that setting and it is set to the correct timezone. When I click edit event and go to change the time, the time is displayed correctly. However when I view this event on the front end, the time is 6 hours behind. Any other ideas?

    Hi @jhegman,

Very strange. This hasn’t been reported before, but I speculate that this problem could be a result of a plugin or theme conflict (usually caused by a caching or security plugin)..

To test this, please try a different theme temporarily such as Twenty Seventeen (be sure to save any theme specific settings), or, disable all plugins and then check if the problem recurrs — then re-enable each one until you find which one caused the problem.

    Let me know the results.

I am having this EXACT same issue. I haven’t switched themes (I’m using Genesis and a StudioPress direct child theme, Altitude, so I’d think it’s pretty clean). But I disabled all plugins, and it didn’t fix the issue.

Everything is in Denver time. The back-end Event entry looks correct. On all front-end, I see UTC time.

@mafreprezent yep I haven’t found a fix. I tried a full uninstall of the plugin and the issue is still present. Let me know if you figure it out.

@jhegman, were you able to perform the steps I provided to eliminate a conflict?

I don’t know about @jhegman, but @sunny454 , I have. Does not seem to be a theme or plugin conflict.

Can you advise where you are hosted?

@sunny454 @mafreprezent It’s not a theme or plugin conflict for me. I’ve also done a full reinstall of the plugin and repaired my DB tables and that didn’t fix it.

I am hosted at WPEngine, and have no caching enabled.
