• Hi, I have a WP multisite installation with many subsites that keep going offline every 2 or 3 days. The sites are hosted on SiteGround. The only clue I have so far is that the errors registered on the Siteground log file match exactly the time when they go offline.

The errors always mention “Timeout waiting for output from CGI script”.

It happens usually at the same time or similar times but not everyday. Any help will be appreciated, thank you.

  • Hi @anakdelgado. Your best bet is to email SiteGround about this issue as it appears to be an issue with your hosting. I suspect that the errors you are seeing in the log are a symptom of the server going offline and not the cause of the server going offline.

    Hey @anakdelgado,

Did you ever find a resolution to this with SiteGround? We’ve got a site that’s recently started having these issues — and I too suspect it’s hosting related. ??
