Time zones

Just wondering if anyone else struggles with time zones the way I do. I’m managing an events calendar that’s across Canada and the US, but the plug in requires I choose a city for the time zone. And of course, none of the cities my event is in is actually listed. There’s just no way to know which cities are around the one my event is in for literally the entire continent.
Is it possible to just have the time zones listed by the name of the time zone??? Or, plug in admins, if you’re reading this, can this be added as an option? Pretty please? ??
