I’ve got a private multi user website that uses the plugin and I’m struggling with the time zone settings. The website is Dutch, so the WordPress time zone settings are Amsterdam. A new event has the default time zone setting UTC+0 (London), so the site displays the time incorrectly. I ‘solved’ that by changing the WP timezone to London, so the user at least sees the time they chose on the website. Well actually: saw since recently that combination caused a two hour difference. So users started to experiment (or just leave incorrectly) which makes a very muddy calendar.

I’ve changed WP back to ‘Amsterdam’ and edited all upcoming events to ‘Amsterdam’ as well. Can’t we just just have a default timezone setting for new events, so every new event will just have Amsterdam?

I’ve been trying the ‘working with timezones’ help text, but it’s no longer up to date. There are no longer: “two settings for the Time Zone Mode option”. I only have a ‘timezone support’ option, that doesn’t solve anything. A default timezone setting here for new events would do the trick I think.

    Hi @gangleri ,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the timezone mode settings.

To clarify, the timezone mode settings should be available once the timezone data has been updated.

Once done, you can set the timezone mode to site timezone to ensure that all events are displayed according to your WordPress timezone (Amsterdam).

Please let us know if you still encounter problems with that.

    Kind regards,
    Jean

Indeed! I did update the database yesterday, but nothing changed, so I started this thread. Now that I’m logged in again today, there is no longer the update button, but the “timezone modus” option. Apparently it took a log-out and log-in for the function to active.

    Thanks for your reply.
