It seems there is an issue with the plugin and the time zone setting. Our posts were not expiring, so I checked the cron scheduler and each post is set to expire 4 hours later than we set it. Our time zone is set to Americas/New York (which is UTC-4… hence the 4 hour delay). If I set the time zone to UTC-0, the post expiration time and the cron expiration time match.

For example, I have a post set to expire April 30 at 9:56am. In the cron scheduler, this post is set to expire at 13:56am.

Is the plugin checking the WP time zone setting before scheduling? Can this be fixed?

    Thanks!

  • The plugin saves everything in GMT time because that is how the WP Core operates. It should be doing the proper conversions based on the timezone setting on the config page.
