Time to write off Gutenberg?

Kind of crazy that I’m having to install a plugin to make the basic functionality of WordPress work. I wanted Gutenberg to be good, I really did… but it’s a disaster. When you can’t even add simple hyperlinks to articles without a deluge of bugs, something has gone horribly wrong. Everything about it takes 1,000 times longer. The number of downloads and 5* reviews of this plugin speaks volumes. Give it up.
