    Hi
Wordfence alerts received to my emails show a timestamp that is from a different time zone. Today I received an alert that someone logged in to the site from Sydney, AU but the time and date are 14 hours backwards. Seems like US time zone but not sure.
    Cheers.
    Mike

Hi @studiomigo, thanks for your message.

Wordfence uses the default WordPress mail functions to send its alerts, so I would also expect the date/time values from your Live Traffic entries to match the server.

Could you please let me know what server time is reported at the bottom of the Wordfence > Login Security page, does it match the time when checked against your timezone in WordPress > Settings > General? Finally, are these times reflective of a 14 hour difference as seen in your email?

You could also check Wordfence > Live Traffic and see whether the Sydney login attempt matches the times WordPress is reporting or matches the time reported in the email.

Thanks and let me know what you find!

    Peter.

    Hi mate
    thanks for the reply.
the time zone in Login Security is:
    Server Time: 2021-08-05 23:23:51 UTC (2021-08-05 23:23:51 UTC+0)
Browser Time: Thu, 05 Aug 2021 23:23:51 GMT (Fri Aug 06 2021 09:23:51 GMT+1000 (Australian Eastern Standard Time))

WP General time zone is set to UTC+0
So yes, it might be the General settings in WP that is causing the time differences. I set it up to Syndey Australia and now Live Traffic reports show the correct time. I assume that will be time that I will received by Email.

    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi @studiomigo,

I think once all those times across Wordfence and WordPress are reporting the same, the emails that run through WordPress should also be generating the correct time for you. Glad it’s all looking good now for you.

Let me know if you receive an incorrectly timestamped email after the change you made, otherwise you can mark this topic as resolved.

    Peter.
