• May I ask a simple question? I’ve been using WordPress for a few years (blogging since ’02) and I’ve yet to figure one easy thing out. How do I lock in the post time? Here’s the scenario:

I start posting and something interrupts my writing. I would like my post to reflect when I started posting but I can’t find a way in WP to do this. If I select “Edit” next to “Publish immediately” it will not save the filled in time. It will always post whenever I publish. To me this seems so obvious and no one’s ever been able to help in the WP forums.

If I start a post at 11:59 PM and finish at 12:30 AM I would like a way for my post to show that 11:59 PM time without going back to edit the time stamp. For whatever it’s worth, the Firefox plugin ScribeFire allows this with my WP blog but I like the dashboard more.

Is this just too easy to solve or just too off the wall?

    Scott
