    Hello!

We are having an issue where when someone subscribes to our calendar, events show up 1 hour earlier in their calendar than they should. For example – on the site if an event starts at 9am, the user’s personal calendar shows 8am.

We’ve tried changing the site wide time zone from UTC to a local city, but that hasn’t seemed to help.

Is there another approach we can take to resolve the issue?

    Thanks!

    Caleb

Hi Caleb! I’d be happy to help with your issue today.

Have you made sure each event’s timezones are set to the local city? Take a look at the guide here:

    Thanks,

    Hi Gladys!

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I think we have the time zones figured out and how to get the events we add from now on to display properly.

For events that we have already created (there are quite a few), is there a way to change them all at once to the correct timezone or do we have to go back in and change them individually. Either is ok. Just wanted to know if we could take care of them all together. Please let me know.

    Thank you!

    Hi @cgreg4000

    Thanks for your response.

It seems you’re using “use manual time zones for each event”. Could you try changing the?Time Zone Mode option to Use site-wide time zone everywhere, and check if that makes a difference?

    See- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/working-with-time-zones/#time-zone-mode

Let me know how it goes.

    Hi Darian!

Thanks for responding. We already have it changed to “everywhere”. It works great for new events. Unfortunately, it’s not updating the existing events. They still show the UTC timezone they were created with. We can fix them manually, but it’s just tedious. Again, just wanted to know if we could do it automatically. Now worries if not.

    Thanks again!

    Hi @cgreg4000

    Thanks for your message.
As of now, “batch update” of the events is not yet supported. However, you may submit a feature request for it via this form:?https://evnt.is/ideas

We take user ideas and contributions very seriously, and many times ideas contributed by our customers end up in our future releases as they collect votes.
