Time on page

    Hi,

    I wanted to know how is the time on page calculated?

    Also, on the website I have the time spent on page as 11:07:12 and in the csv file it is 212832, if you convert that number to hours(assuming that it is in seconds) you will get 2 days 11:07:12, so what is happening here and which one is the correct time?

    Hi,

    The time spent on page displayed in the admin doesn’t consider days, as that is obviously an inaccurate measuring. However the time exported is the actual time measured by the tracker, that’s why the difference.

    Time on page is calculated by tracking when the user clicks on another link, leaving the current page. The tracker will save a dt_out (timestamp) in the database, and use that value for all the calculations.
