There seems to be an issue with the automatic time offset not being followed for new posts. When inputting a time offset in the plugin settings, then creating a new post the time offset is not being followed and instead shows a time that has already passed.

Example: Time offset set in plugin as + 4 months on both General settings and Post Types setting:

When creating a new post the future action date is then set as 2nd August at 17:01. (This has already surpassed – Time of writing is 18:15 2nd August.) It should be 2nd December 18:02 (4 months from new post).

It can be manually changed to the correct date, so it is just the automatic offset that appears to not be working.

Tested for the actions ‘Delete’ and ‘Change Status to Draft’ on both WordPress standard post type as well as custom post type (CPT UI Plugin) and getting the same error on every occurrence.

    Hi @eclipsedevelopment

    Thanks for using PublishPress Future.

I tested using the same setting as yours and it works fine on my end.

Can you inform me what PublishPress Future version are you using?

Also, does this issue only happens on classic editor?

    Hi,

    I’m using Plugin Version 3.0.6 & WordPress Version 6.2.2.

When checking this morning the date is automatically selected as 17:01 for today, therefore it seems the future date is set as “Today at 17:01”.

I’ve tried testing with Classic Editor disabled however when ticking the PublishPress feature when Classic Editor is disabled it does not show the future action date or time so I am unable to check if it is working.

    @eclipsedevelopment This is our setting:

And when I create new post, it automatically set like this:

Can you please try temporarily deactivate all plugins except PublishPress Future to check if there is any plugin conflicting?

    Thanks,

    Good afternoon,

We had already disabled all plugins on the site last week but the problem was still occurring, however, today the issue seems to have resolved itself and is now showing the correct date.

We are happy for this to be marked as resolved and will open a new query if the issue returns.

    Thanks.

I’m glad to hear that even though we are not sure what was happening. Feel free to reopen if the issue persists.
