• I have a problem, where there is a time delay, when I add a new post or update a post.

I run two sites that both have the problem. One is a free site available for all. The other one is a member site, where the plugin WP-Members controls the access. WP-Members extends the built in login process in WordPress.

For the member site it’s very problematic, since users are requested to login instead of being able to read the content. Despite the fact that the user is already logged in. They can see the rest of the content on the site. Except the content I’ve just posted or updated. It takes a few minutes – maybe up to five minutes – before they can access the new or updated post. Until then they’re met with a login request for that specific post.

I’ve tried turning of plugins and going back to one of WordPress basic built in themes.

I changed the theme immediately after updating a post. Generally the site changed to the new theme. But the post I had just updated still showed the old theme for a few minutes together with the login request.

For the other site I have it’s of course not a big issue – since it’s freely available for all. I only notice it because I as the admin can see whether I’m logged in at the specific post.
