Tiled and circular galleries via Jetpack not working

I’m sorry to hear you’ve run into issues.

Could you go to the Jetpack menu in your dashboard, and make sure that both the Carousel and Tiled Galleries are activated?

Could you also try to deactivate all other plugins, one at a time, to make sure that there are no conflicts between Jetpack and another plugin?

I tried all of that but it’s still the same, I’m afraid.

i ran some more tests on my end, and the problem seems to be linked to your theme: it includes an extension called “Cleaner gallery” that disables Jetpack Carousel.

To solve the issue, could you try to install this small plugin? It will deactivate the Cleaner Gallery extension:

Hi Jeremy, I tried that but no joy, I’m afraid. I was using the galleries and carousel without any trouble using Oxygen on WP.com, by the way.

Any other suggestions?

WordPress.com uses a modified version of the Oxygen theme, without the Cleaner Gallery extension.

But I did make a mistake in that small plugin. I fixed it now: could you tyr to install it again?

My mistake – it seems fine now. At first it looked as though not all the images had been included in the gallery (only 5 out of 9)and that the circles weren’t aligned. I’ve just tried it again with the post that happened with and it’s okay, all 9 in a perfect grid.

I’ve been using tiled galleries without any problem until I changed theme.

Looking the source code I can see tiled-gallery.js is not loading but can’t understand why.
Could you shed some light on the subject?

@cococo I’m not familiar with this particular theme, but if it includes a function that modifies the way the core WordPress galleries work, Jetpack Carousel and Tiled Galleries won’t work.

Could you look for a function that changes the behaviour of the Gallery shortcode in your theme, and try to comment it out?

Jetpack tiles options are not showing up for me as well using WP 2013 & 2014 theme. No plugins installed other than jetpack.. Do I have to turn on carousel for it to work?

It’s a shame is doesn’t work smoother, especially since the wordpress android and iOS apps have options for it pre installed, which doesn’t make any sense at all. This should only appear in the Mobile App if the plugin exists..
