Tile Mosaic Gallery Density/# of columns, and image size

    Is there anyway to adjust the Tiled Mosaic Grid density?

    I know you can, and I’ve used $content_width to help with creating a full width Tiled Mosaic Gallery, but it does not seem to respect the # of columns set at all to adjust the density for the tiled mosaic grid.

    I want the display wider, but then I’d like it to also be denser, otherwise it’s just stretching out smaller images to fill, and are too large. The default density only seems appropriate to narrower widths.

    Also the “Size” selector also seems to have no effect. I’d like it to be using large or full-sized images, so they don’t appear pixelated in the the grid, but it seems stuck using smaller images.

    Please advise.

    Hi there!

    There are currently no built-in settings for changing the border/gutter width on tiled galleries. In fact, there’s an open issue for that enhancement that you can follow here.

    For now, this could be changed with some custom CSS.

    Hi @fresatomica. Thanks for that, but wasn’t asking about the border/gutter width.

    I was asking about the density of the grid, e.g. the number of columns/rows it’s working in. When I expand the content width everything just get’s bigger, and opposed to denser, so they images are stretching in some cases.

    I was also trying to get the captions, with links to show in the lightbox rather than the title, as the title’s HTML is being stripped. So the idea was to hide them in the grid itself, but that’s another question.

    We’ve actually gone with another masonry solution or now (homepage), but it’d be nice to get the Jetpack Mosaic issues sorted too.

    Thanks a lot for the links and the details.
    I don’t like to be the bearer of bad news but it seems that what you’re trying to do is out of the scope of our support ??
    It would require some custom code and I’m afraid we can’t help with that.
