TikTok Embeds Not Working, Treating It As YouTube?

As of August 7, 2022, it appears that TikTok embeds are broken in this plugin. Posts using the standard TikTok embed code fail the validation test, don’t get indexed by Google, and, perhaps most importantly, don’t actually show TikTok embeds.

It instead does something weird where it duplicates the content and tries to treat the embed as a YouTube video.

I can’t post a current link since my site is live and accessible and I can’t risk people accessing a broken article, but here is an older post where I noticed the exact same issue. I have at least one more that I found where the same thing happens.

As you can see, the “duplicated” content and “YouTube” embed only display on the AMP version of the site. They work perfectly on the normal version. That does suggest an app issue.

I found a few other threads mentioning this issue a year+ ago, but none seemed to have a clear resolution.
