• Looking for the best way to add long stories/editorial to a site. Example, 20k words in one doc. It’s a family history site if it’s all on one page it goes on and on. So hopefully someone will know a nice way to make it work or how best to break it down / display it. thank you. [ redundant link removed ]

  • Hi there!

It sounds like you’re looking to take a single, long story and break it up into different pieces, is that right? It might be a good idea to break the story into different posts, but group them together using tags or categories. That way, you could easily break things up into different posts so it’s more digestible, but visitors would be able to see all of these posts group together in a single tag (i.e. ‘family-story’).

Another option might be to use some formatting to help break things up, with section/header titles, images, and page jumps (creating a link to different sections on the same page).

If you’re looking for something more than that, it might help to explore/search for editorial/magazine style WordPress themes to help with different features or display options that might work better for what you’d like to do.
