Tickets Commerce not recognizing Stripe account

I am trying to set up Stripe payment using Tickets Commerce. First I say that I want to use Tickets Commerce and then I say that I want to connect to Stripe. (I have been added as a “developer” for the company whose website I am trying to connect to Stripe.) The company for which I am a “developer” does not show up in the Stripe/Tickets Commerce software when I login to Stripe. My only choice is to create a new company. (I did try creating a new company thinking that I might have to but then realized that all the questions I am being asked go along with creating a new Stripe account, not connecting to an existing one.) Why doesn’t Tickets Commerce recognize the already existing company for which I am a developer and list is so that I can connect to it? It seems to recognize the two companies for which I am an “administrator.” Thanks.
