Ticker topics have disappeared; title remais

    I have downloaded, installed and successfully deployed Ditty News Ticker on my website as a widget within the side bar. Suddenly, although the title of the Ticker is still visible, the content has disappeared. This is the case for both Firefox and Edge (though I haven’t tried any other browsers). Have I maybe done something in adding new ticker items, or in setting the plug-in configuration to cause this?….or is there something else at play here? All my theme and plug-ins….and WP itself are fully updated.

    It sounds like you may have a javascript error on the front-end of your site. You can test this quickly by switching your ticker mode to list, which does not use javascript. If your ticks display in list mode, then there is a javascript error stemming from one of your other plugins, or your theme. Switch back to scroll (or rotate) mode and then run through the following article to track down the source of the issue: https://www.metaphorcreations.com/article/test-plugin-conflicts/

    HI Danny,

    thanks for a great plugin. I have been using successfully for a while now. It abruptly stopped working recently ( about a month ago around WordPress 5 time) . I have identified a conflict between either your plugin and NextGen Gallery or the Theme I am using (Longevity). I can get your pugin working if I either switch to a WordPress default theme or turn off NextGen Gallery plugin..

    I’m now a bit stuck as I’m no developer and if it is a Java script error then I wouldn’t know where to look or how to fix it.

    Both plugins are compatible with 5.02 and recently updated.

    @janchadaj the javascript error I’m seeing is stemming from NextGen, and is most likely the cause for the ticker not working as well. Please contact the authors of NextGen to help resolve that error as I don’t know enough about NextGen gallery to give you any tips on how to resolve this error.

    If you still have issues with the ticker after that issue is resolved please create a new ticket and I will help you out further.
