Ticker refresh

  • I embedded your ticker within another Facebook widget. Is there a way for the ticker to automatically update on users browsers when I update the ticker?

    I’m slowly working through a major overhaul to the plugin that will include some form of this.

    I believe I recently saw a reply to someone’s question in which you said you are currently working on an overhaul of the ticker. Will it include a feature similar to what I originally asked about?

    @blackcollegenines That would be my ultimate goal… I have already worked out how to add/modify ticks on the fly. The next step is to figure out the best solution for checking for new ticks, or ultimately receiving a push notification of new ticks/data in order to update.

    I’ve made some really good progress on the new version, but there is a ton to do since I need to still finish up the main ticker, then update all the extensions, and I’ll also be re-building my whole dittynewsticker.com site. So, this is still at least a few months away.
