Ti doesn’t work

There may be a conflict with another file name. The free version of the plugin doesn’t handle conflicts automatically.

Try “2 Lions” or “Lion & Lioness”.

Like @galbaras said, it might be that the filename already exists. Also, the Renamer doesn’t rename if the current file doesn’t exist (I know it sounds weird, but sometimes the original file doesn’t exist, only the thumbnails).

I am working on a new version as we speak, and its user-friendlyness will be improved. In short, you’ll know the issue ??

Actually, it seems like I’m having the same problem @pixtweaks is having with the latest version. The plugin is not updating the content like it used to.

I have “Rename on Post Save” turned on, and both newly-inserted and re-titled previously-loaded images are renamed, but the content doesn’t reflect this after saving the post.

Full disclosure, I’m using the Pro version, but both plugins have the same changelog entry, so the problem is likely the same.

I think @galbaras will be able to make an update on this soon ??

All I can say at this point is that the upcoming version seems to have “rename on post save” working OK. When are planning to release it, Jordy?

It’s ready but I am testing it with more people. As you know, it’s a major release, I want to make sure it’s perfect and well-tested ?? It’s a bit scary to release so many changes at once.

Jordy, the 5.0.0 changelog is not listing a fix for “Rename on Post Save” and some people have had this issue besides me.

Hi @galbaras, we should leave this thread. I don’t think it was about Rename on Save, and we should have specific threads with the right options mentioned. “It doesn’t work” is very vague.
