‘thumbnailUrl’ missing

    Hi,

    I have seen a post with a similar issue, but it did not completely fit my situation.
    On all my pages with a video i have used the “VideoObject” schema with all the fields filled in (except the field “Embed URL”). I do not use lazy loading of any sort and the cache has been refreshed many times.
    Google sent me a warning and when using the Google structured data tool the error is ” field thumbnailUrl is missing”.

    There is no field thumbnailUrl in the VideoObject schema section of Rankmath and i do not have a clue where i can enter this data.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Set a featured image, saved the post, cleared the cache: but that does not solve the issue.

    If you are unable to see an update, please clear Rank Math’s transients from:
    WP Dashboard >> Rank Math >> Status & Tools >> Database Tools >> Remove Rank Math Transients >> Remove transients

    Please clear the caches from the server and WordPress after updating.

    You can disable the Beta updates once you update to the latest version and the issue is fixed.

    Hi,

    Updated to the beta version
    Checked if there was any new field to be filled, there was none
    Checked if the featured image was still there on the WP page
    Checked on Youtube if the thumbnails were still set
    Flushed the cache
    Checked the google structured data tool.

    Unfortunately the tool still indicates that the thumbnail URL is missing.

    I am sorry, but the issue is not solved.

    Hi,

    I redid everything with a fresh mind after a good nights sleep and now it is indeed working. To be honest i could not tell you what i did different than the effort before.

    Thanks for the help and i guess this beta will end up in a regular update.
