@rickydeez – Something is interfering with the necessary JavaScript and CSS loading that NextGEN Gallery needs in order to display things correctly.

What has changed on your site from the last time the display appeared correctly? What version of NextGEN Gallery did you update from?

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

PS: Does this issue persist if you temporarily switch to a default WordPress Twenty series theme?

Thank you for the quick response. I believe it was something like v1.8 – but i’m not entirely sure.

Are all the correct CSS/JS being called? The only CSS I could find was:

    /wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_gallery_display/static/nextgen_gallery_related_images.css?ver=4.0.1

Which doesn’t really have much in it. What else is it missing? Shouldn’t it be included automatically?

    (@photocrati)

@rickydeez – That’s the issue at hand, the JavaScript and CSS normally included “automatically” is not being included.

Which specific files will depend on what is being displayed but you will typically see three or four NextGEN Gallery related calls after the <!-- ngg_resource_manager_marker --> marker comment.

In the case of your site it appears you have a “resource usage” plugin writing to the footer which may be causing this conflict … or just be coincidental.

i have the some issue. on version 2.0.59 the problem doesn’t exist, but on newest’s versions the problem makes its appearance.

@rickydeez, @aldon – Can you both please try temporarily deactivating your other plugins and retesting? Additionally you may want to test with a stock WordPress theme, like Twenty Fourteen.

    Thanks,

    Drew

    Hi,
I am having the exact same issue. I deactivated all my other plugins, and it is giving me the same problem. I am using the 2011 theme as a child theme, and it is giving me issues. If I change it to 2010 or 2012 or 2013 it is working. https://gsrescue.org You can go to available dogs, and pick a dog, then choose thumbnails to see the issue. I am working around the problem with a slideshow, but the client wants thumbnails.

I’ve had to manually insert the nextgen_basic_album.css for whatever reason…

But now, all the albums just link to:

    https://www.tiee.org/childrens-workshop/photo-gallery/nggallery

    I’m using the shortcode:

    [ngg_images album_ids=”1″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_compact_album”]

@rickydeez – Did you find any conflicts with any other active plugins?

You should not have needed to “manually insert” any NextGEN Gallery CSS calls, this would indicate there is still an underlying issue that needs to be addressed.
