    Hey,

This plugin doesn’t support thumbnails for TIFF’s and I’m not sure it is possible.

Only PNG, JPG and JPEG files can create thumbnails in this plugin.

As I understand it, a TIFF is more of a document than an image because they can have multiple “pages” in a single file.

It’s not something I have time to look into, but if you figure it out or get someone else to, I would be happy to look at merging it into this plugin.

    Hi Ovann,

Yes, The tiff format is special, i know it can be done.I will continue looking for who can do it to me. The tricky thing is that it has to be compatible with gravity forms.

“Rcwd Upload for Gravity Forms” is other plugin for Gravity Forms and not create thumbnails with TIFF format but the creator is willing to collaborate.

    Thanks
    Regards

This plugin simply interfaces with ‘blueimp jquery file upload’.

If you’re asking around, ask specifically about how to do tiff thumbnails with that.

    https://github.com/blueimp/jQuery-File-Upload

It doesnt look like anyone has been able to make it work with the blueimp uploader – which leads me to think it’s problematic/unreliable/impossible.

I see there is a PHP function to pull a thumbnail out of a TIFF file – it says the thumbnail is embedded into the file – which is interesting.
