• Hi,

I just started building my own website. And I already cam across a problem I can’t resolve.

The featured image is looking well on the post only as a thumbnail in my blog post section and in my footer is get’s stretched. I already installed the plugin “regenerate thumbnails” it didn’t help. After that I installed “Force regenerate thumbnails” and that didn’t work either.

I’m not sure which theme I’m using, I use elementor. But don’t know if that’s a problem?

    Hopefully someone can help me.

    Regards,
    Sandra

  • The thumbnail itself is not distorted. That’s why regenerating them didn’t help.
Normally, themes handle images with CSS that lets the image adapt to the size of the screen. If you use a plugin, though, it could be overriding the theme’s CSS.
So you can ask at the theme’s support forum and/or the plugin’s support forum.
I took a quick look at your site and the thumbnail of the woman, that is shown twice, is stretched in both places, and it is Elementor that is stretching it. It is likely due to your choices for those elements, but since I’ve never used Elementor, I don’t know. I suggest you ask at the plugin’s support forum.
