Thumbnails on Index Page

    How do I get a thumbnail of a pic in my post to appear on my index page with an excerpt of my post? I have tried using the featured image, but it displays the original big size of the picture rather than a thumbnail. I have also tried using the option in my theme’s settings (Divi) that enables “grab first image,” but it too puts a full size image of the picture with each post on the index page. Should I be using a plug-in to add this feature to my website? Help please… I am new to this and trying to learn as I go.

    Thank you for any help. No thumbnails are showing now and I don’t have any featured images set for the posts because they were huge when I did have them.

    you can set different sizes.

    what code exactly have you used?

    you might need to contact the developer of your theme for help with the question;

    I checked out the reference; I’m sorry, but it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me since I’m not necessarily all that familiar with writing code. Where would I insert the code to set a different size for the featured image?

    I haven’t used any code; just trying to format things by using what is given by the theme.
