    Hello,

since 1 month ago the thumbnails for social networks are not working properly. I’ll describe it as detailed as possible below:

    – Publicize automatic share thumbnail works fine. When I post something and it is automatically shared on my fanpages, thumbnail works fine (see: https://imgur.com/rm1acMV )

    – Share buttons don’t work. When you press the “facebook share button” below the post, a sharing window pops up and the thumbnail is there (see https://imgur.com/MzQxvIA ) but when you press share, it shares without a thumbnail. On mobile you see it without thumbnail (see https://imgur.com/a4gqQUY ) and on Chrome you see it with a wrong thumbnail which is a piece of a banner from the website (see https://imgur.com/poFiPy1 )

I have never had this problem before and my website relies too much on people’s shares, so with this problem I am quite injured. Didn’t change anything or installed any plugin that can be causing this. It had always worked fine and I did no changes. Please help.

    Hi there,

I took a look at the post from your screen shots, https://www.inforc.net/2018/11/shark-racing-products-nuevo-distribuidor-para-espana-y-portugal-de-md-racing/, and if I view the source in my browser I don’t see any Open Graph tags on that post. Jetpack adds Open Graph tags to every post and page on your site which tells Facebook what content to use for the preview, and in the absence of those tags Facebook does not know what info to use.

The only reason why Jetpack’s open graph tags would not be appearing in your post’s source code is if they’re being removed by your theme, by another plugin, or by custom code added to your theme’s functions.php file.

Looking at the information we have available for your site, the most likely cause here is the All in One SEO Pack plugin you appear to have active on your site – installing that plugin causes Jetpack’s Open Graph tags to be disabled automatically.

You’ll need to activate the open graph tags for that plugin so it generates the necessary preview information for Facebook instead, or else you need to install the Always Use Open Graph with Jetpack plugin to prevent All in One SEO from disabling Jetpack’s tags.

You can find more information about this here:

    Hi Kokkieh,

I was very surprised because combining AIO Seo and Jetpack never was a problem before, but all of a sudden it changed as I explained above.

Luckily for me, I installed “Always Use Open Graph with Jetpack” and it absolutely solved the problem. Thanks a lot!!
